Gator Magnetics Utility Basket with Towel Bar - 15kg Capacity
Gator Magnetics Utility Basket with Towel Bar - 15kg Capacity
The Gator Magnetics Utility Basket with Towel Bar keeps your things organised, neatly stored and exactly where you need them — with a swing-down towel bar that keeps paper towels handy for shop and garage clean-ups. Just as useful in the laundry. Put it on the side of your toolbox, storage cabinet, fridge, freezer, steel door, washer, dryer or locker.
Why You'll Love It
Strong
Holds a load of up to 15kg on thin steel surfaces. Gator's patented technology holds using shear strength at a right angle to the floor — not pull force on thick steel, which is how ordinary magnetic products are rated. That's why a hook claiming 12kg elsewhere won't hold 12kg at a 90° angle on thin steel; the load simply slides down the surface. When we say 15kg, we mean 15kg at a 90° angle on thin steel.
Easy
Lift the lever, place, close, and load. Our patented "Easy-off" release mechanism snaps onto steel surfaces and disengages just as easily, so you can reposition the basket as often as you like.
Versatile
The integrated swing-down towel bar puts a roll exactly where the mess is. Ideal for storing loose items in the workshop, garage, home, pole barn or shed — spray paints, bug sprays, cleaning supplies, adhesives and tapes.
Safe
Won't damage the surface or leave residue. The near-field magnetic flux won't pinch fingers or harm magnet-sensitive electronics.
Works Everywhere
Toolboxes, storage cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, steel doors, workbenches, washers and dryers, furnaces, lockers — or use it with the Gator Steel Wall Target system.

What thickness of steel is required for Gators to work
All shear strength holding capacities advertised are tested using 16-gauge steel (about 1.6mm Galvanised Steel)
Will Gator Magnetics work on corrugated steel surfaces?
Will Gator Magnetics work on corrugated steel surfaces?
Gator Magnetics products perform best on flat steel surfaces where the magnetic base can sit flush against the metal.
While Gator Magnetics may work on some corrugated steel surfaces, performance can vary depending on the profile and shape of the corrugation. For maximum holding strength, the magnetic base requires approximately 50mm of flat steel surface to make full contact.
If the corrugations are too pronounced and prevent the magnet from sitting flush, holding capacity may be significantly reduced.
How much weight can Gator Magnetics hold?
